Privacy policy

This policy explains what information 1099 Compass handles when you visit the site. In short: we do not run accounts, ads or tracking scripts, and we do not sell personal information.

Information you give us

If you email us, we receive your email address and message and use them only to reply. The site has no sign-up forms and does not ask for your email address anywhere else.

Calculators

The calculators run entirely in your browser. The numbers you enter are not sent to us or stored.

Your settings

If you switch to the dark theme, your choice is saved in your browser's local storage on your device. It is never sent to us.

Hosting and delivery by Cloudflare

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, and pages are delivered through Cloudflare's network. To deliver pages and protect the site from abuse, Cloudflare processes technical information about each request, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request. Cloudflare may keep this information in logs for a limited time for security, performance and troubleshooting.

Cookies

1099 Compass does not set its own cookies and does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie (for example, to tell people apart from automated bots). These cookies are not used for advertising or to follow you across other sites.

Changes to this policy

If we add advertising, analytics or a newsletter service, we will update this page before those features go live and change the date at the top.

Children

The site is written for adults and does not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
